SolarberryTM is part of a working demonstration and training greenhouse operated by Apex Greenhouses Australia in Virginia, South Australia. The facility is also supported by HortInnovation Australia*.

The facilty highlights the most modern developments in high tech strawberry cultivation from around the world including climate control systems from Priva, irrigation systems from Stolze (a GreenV partner company) as well as the latest in cultivation gutters developed from the North American strawberry sector. The facility features heating and cooling systems to provide the perfect growing environment for the strawberries. The facillty is designed to operate 12 months of the year.

We believe this type of growing system will become more prevalent as field farming becomes more difficult. Changing customer tastes, more extreme weather patterns and higher input costs will drive strawberry production to more sustainable methods inside greenhouses. Workers don’t want to bend over in the mud all day – our systems provide a solution for that
